High Atlas

Just outside Marrakesh are the most frequented and grandest of the ranges. The High Atlas has several peaks over 3,000 meters and has North Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal (4,167 meters), which lies within the Toubkal National Park. The High Atlas offers numerous options for trekking, but it is equally fantastic place to chillax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Middle Atlas

The northernmost region of the Atlas range, the forested slopes of the Middle Atlas lays south of Fes and Meknes and runs south to towards Marrakesh. Often covered in thick forest, with oak and cedar prevalent in the north, is it home to lakes, the Barbary ape and several national gems – the majestic Ouzoud cascades and Ifrane National Park.

Anti Atlas

The Anti Atlas is truly a dream for wonderlusters. This region offers more off-the-beaten path treks and a chance to get down and dirty. Situated in southwest Morocco, this region is much less known to travelers and one will experience a much more authentic side of this beautiful country. The red and rocky landscape and drier climate offers sublime terrain for mountain biking and trekking on less frequented trails.
