Traditionally, nomads left school at a young age so many lack the ability to read and write fluently. This was no exception for Bobo, in fact he never had to opportunity to attend even one day of school. At the age of 20, he decided to enter the hospitality business working from the bottom up. Through seven years of hard work and perseverance he decided to start his own business – Sahara Touring.
That was ten years ago. Today, in addition to operating Sahara Touring he is also co-founder of Erg Chigaga Luxury Desert Camp. It is not only Bobo and his team‘s Berber hospitality which helped the business grow into a trusted operation, but also he and his team‘s strong connection to their roots and traditions which offers guests a true sense of authenticity and experience.
“I stay connected to my birthplace and still get to meet and learn about different people and their customs…
I feel proud that people from around the world want to come to the Sahara (and Morocco) to experience our way of life. They come here to escape from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives and our hospitality business is our way of sharing our traditions and giving them a true Saharan experience.”
