This week we made a very nice trekking in the sahara with 33 students/teachers from the highschool of Tournai.
With nice weather, a nice walking program and good cooks, cameldrivers and guides we had such a great time.
enjoying the desertlifestyle, getting to know eachother, getting in touch with nature and culture, it are things we will never forget.
Nighttime singing and dancing, making bread and eating delicious dinners at the campfire.
On this picture you see the studente writing in the sand of the big dunes by sunset.
They wrote the names of the universities they will go to next year.
Students/teachers…. Bobo, Tine and all the cameldrivers and guides want to thank you for having such a great time!
    cheerio!!

    Season Changing

Spring has begun, and so we felt that!
Every time when winter turns into spring, there is a week of total chaos.
Hard windstorms, you can’t come out of your house ( or you blow away)
and a lot of rain can fall down.
Normally the rain stays near the Atlas mountains.
If it comes to the desert there is a total change!
The Draa river is floating and after a couple of days the desert becomes green of grass and rocket salad!
Ideal for the camels and goats!
This last week, there was so much rain, a lake was created in front of the big dunes. No one could pass and people who were staying in a bivuoac had to stay a day longer.
We can assure you, it was spectacular!
    I regret I have no pictures taken…
